  • Medical Negligence - Every year thousands of people are injured or killed as a result of medical negligence, also known as malpractice. Medical malpractice can arise when a medical facility, doctor, or health care provider injures a patient. Health care providers are required to meet certain standards of acceptable care. When they fail to do so and a person is injured because of that failure, a medical malpractice claim arises. In most medical malpractice cases, the first step is for you to obtain all of your medical records relating to the treatment received. Medical malpractice may often be proven on the basis of what is contained, or omitted, from those medical records. If you suspect that you or a loved one has been injured as a result of medical malpractice, it is critical to seek the advice of a lawyer, experienced in medical malpractice, to be certain that your action is brought within the time period mandated by state law.

  • Traumatic Brain Injury - Traumatic brain injury is a serious injury to the head - often resulting in severe and potentially permanent damage to the brain. Each year, more than one million people in the United States sustain some form of brain injury caused by motor vehicle accidents, falls, diving and swimming accidents, amusement park rides, blunt force trauma. Due to the subtle nature of brain injuries, they often go undiagnosed and therefore untreated, even in emergency rooms. In some cases, the damage may eventually be reversed but unfortunately, traumatic brain injuries often result in some form of permanent impairment. If you or a loved one have suffered a serious brain injury, you need to hire a lawyer experienced in handling serious personal injury claims.

  • Personal Injury - If someone is hurt by the negligence of another person or business, they may have a claim for the personal injuries they sustained. The damages which may be available for a personal injury claim include damages for pain and suffering, lost wages, lost earning capacity, mental anguish, and compensation for property damage. Your attorney can explain each type of damage and what must be proven to receive compensation. We represent individuals hurt in a number of ways, including auto accidents, medical malpractice, defective products, on the job injuries, assault and battery, and slip and fall accidents.

Most personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis. This means you are not charged directly for attorneys' fees, but rather a percentage of the amount recovered for you is taken out of the recovery. The contingent fee structure can be more completely described at an initial consultation.

  • Defective Products - Our attorneys have years of experience representing individuals who have been injured as a result of an unsafe or defective product that was designed, manufactured, sold or furnished by a company or individual. We assist those injured individuals in bringing their claims and being fairly compensated for their injuries. Our attorneys have represented individuals injured by asbestos, apparel, alcoholic beverages, children's toys, firearms, food and agricultural products, lighters, machinery and tools, medical products and devices, motor vehicles, pharmaceutical products, recreational products, and tobacco.

  • Wrongful Death - Wrongful death is death caused by the fault of another person either through negligence or by an intentional act. Spouses, children and parents can make a claim for damages against the wrongdoer. In some cases, even though a person is deceased, his or her estate may also have a claim for damages. Examples of wrongful conduct that may lead to death include drinking and driving, manufacturing a defective product, building an unstable structure or failing to diagnose a fatal disease. We are very experienced in wrongful death lawsuits.

  • Nursing Home Litigation - Nursing homes can provide needed care and assistance to their residents, but unfortunately, they can also provide the opportunity for abuse or neglect of vulnerable individuals. If you or a family member have been subjected to abuse or neglect in a nursing home, contact us to discuss your rights.

  • Employment Discrimination - Employment law covers a complex network of laws that controls how employers must treat employees, former employees, and applicants for employment. We have significant experience in interpreting and construing state and Federal statutes and case law in areas such as employment discrimination, affirmative action, and sexual harassment. We represent clients who believe that they have been the victims of employment discrimination on the basis of age, disability and illness, national origin, sex, race, and religion. If you think you have been a victim of employment discrimination, it is critical to seek the advice of an experienced lawyer to be certain that your action is brought within the time period mandated by state or federal law.
